If not; here is a brief introduction: My name is Gustaf Andrésson and at the time of writing I’m a 19 years old university student, “content” creator, and professional LEGO-nerd. I have a background in media production, design, and personal development. These interests are shown in action on my two YouTube channels; one about LEGO (Pandis Pandus) and one about personal growth (Domino Development). At the same time as I’m discovering the universe of the human mind through psychology and philosophy studies, I do a bit of side hustling related to these interests.

This website includes pages for my ever-expanding portfolio of LEGO creations, videos, and photos. It also has a convenient collection of links to the platforms where I participate on the web. However, similar to my previous website, which this one replaces, this website is mainly devoted to posting longer pieces of text that I won’t post elsewhere.

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. When I was young I used to write fictional stories. Building LEGO largely replaced the writing I engaged in, as I went through elementary school, but when I got to high school I started seeking out meaningful written and spoken material. By this time, my reading and writing had gone from fiction to non-fiction. I can’t say that I was very intellectually curious or active during my high school years, but I enjoyed subjects such as language and religion just as much as I enjoyed the subjects related to technology and design; the subjects the education was mainly about.

I think that the exposure I had to literature and spoken language in my developmental years has contributed to my interest in language. It’s been a great gift to have a natural inclination for writing, as I regard writing as crucial for complicated thinking, and for thinking in general. The pen is mightier than the sword, but it’s also a double-edged sword: Writing can push me to the limits of my intellectual capacity, and it often exposes me to flaws in my thinking and communication. There’s also a trap of getting glued to the keyboard, and focusing too much on the abstract and theoretical, as opposed to spending less time interacting with symbols on a document. But I’m just too interested in writing, and perhaps more importantly the experiences that I can have with these symbols on a document, to not frequently engage in it.

The way I’m writing on this website – including this post – is more or less how I’m thinking. People sometimes comment on my casual use of formal language, but this is how I’m thinking, and when I’m communicating in speech and in writing, I try to transcribe those thoughts and articulate them for the given medium of communication. For me, the main difference between speaking and writing is that I have more time to articulate my thoughts when I’m writing. So this website will be a platform where I can practice and share my formal thinking, about various subjects I’m curious about. Here is a list of current subjects that I’ve been scripting a little about, and will probably eventually release:

Personal Development and Tips & Tricks:

Study Technique and Structure.

Use Writing to Improve Your Life.

A Different Approach to Physical Exercise.

Why I don’t Consume News.

A Substitute to Politics.

My Productivity System.

Intellectual Contemplation:

Reflections on Stoicism and Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

The Power of Language.

The Meaning of Life.

Listening to The Voice of Conscience.

Intellectual Arrogance.

1984 and Brave New World.

The Importance of Art.

The Symbolic Representation of Dragons.

What Religion Can Teach Us.

This should give you a feeling of the kinds of subjects I’ll write about. The library of texts from my previous website has also been uploaded here. The vast majority of my writings will be published in English. I haven’t decided how much of it I’ll translate to Swedish, but I might translate the easier posts including concrete tips and tricks, as well as the texts I regard to be the more important and well-written ones.

Thank you for being here! I’m excited to run this website and see what doors it will open. If you have any suggestions or something to say, check out the contacts and media page, and we’ll take it from there. I hope to see you in my next post.
